About Us
Balanced health is the Genesis of living well
Welcome to Genesis, a place where You are the focus. It is an honor to introduce myself to you. My name is Lystra Wilson-Celestine and I have been in the field of OBGYN for almost 20 years. I moved to the Northern California area 4 years ago, and am motivated and invested in my patients' health and supporting their goals. Some of you have already met me and we have built a solid relationship. I am looking forward to forming new partnerships through Genesis Center for Women’s Health.

Lystra Wilson-Celestine, MD
- Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist
- Member of American Medical Association
- Chief of OBGYN Service at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital
I was born in Trinidad and Tobago, a beautiful twin island republic paradise in the Southern Caribbean. After completing school at St. George’s University, Grenada, I immigrated to the United States of America and completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Michigan.
Throughout my time as a provider, my greatest teachers have been my patients. I have worked in a multitude of areas including large hospital systems, small community hospital, Hospitalist program and on the mission field. This broad exposure helped me to understand the various ways of delivering healthcare and led me to focus my services to Whole Person Care. My goal and that of Genesis is to bring individualized and personalized care to you. This desire has pushed me to understand better what is happening in my own body and my patients'. To support this goal, I am pursuing a certification with the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine, which focuses on personalizing hormone replacement therapy.
If you are a patient just wanting basic gynecologic care including in-office, outpatient or inpatient surgical interventions, Genesis is here for you. If you need major surgery, I specialize in a minimally invasive method that allows you to get back to your daily routine with little disruption.

Michelle Beaver, Certified Medical Assistant
I graduated as a Medical Assistant in 2007. I’ve worked in OB/GYN for over five years. I’ve also worked in Dermatology; I have always had a passion for Women’s Health and am fortunate to have joined the team at Genesis Women’s Health.
When I have free time, I love to cook, garden and spending time with my 11-year-old son.
On the weekends you can find us playing paint ball. My son is at a competitive level and competes all over Northern California.
